DASHCAM FOOTAGE RELEASED SHOWS TRUCKS COLLIDING HEAD-ON IN MPUMALANGA

The devastation was captured on a truck companies drivers dash cam set up after two 18 wheelers collided head-on in Mpumalanga on Friday.

Three trucks were involved while traveling on the highway between Bethel to Kriel.

Multiple angles released from the truck companies dash cams shows the chaotic and scenes.

In the video, published on a Facebook page, SA TRUCKERS, the trucks can be seen on the road going the opposite direction as the truck behind the one with the dashcam, tries to overtake.

Following that, the truck trying to overtake crashes into the other truck and the third truck is pushed to the side of the road.

Three people were injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital, Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Joseph Mabuza said in a statement.

The scene was cleared and the road is open to traffic.

He said.

Transport Minister Blade Nzimande has called on motorists to be on vigilant and avoid risks of being involved in accidents.

This follows the horror truck crash in Limpopo that claimed the lives of 28 people just 12 days ago.

When the tire burst, the truck swerved into oncoming traffic. He swerved in a 22-seater Combi and a light delivery vehicle.
